Clary Sage (Salvia sclarea) - Heart/Base Note
Soothing and relaxing – clary sage essential oil is popular for its calming and soothing properties. It also helps to balance emotions. The most important chemical component of clary sage is linalyl acetate, which belongs to the group of esters – and is responsible for the highly relaxing, soothing and balancing effects of the essential oil.
Juniper Berry (Juniperus communis) - Heart
The essential oil of juniper berries, which is extracted from a coniferous tree, has a long history of traditional uses and benefits. Its woody, spicy yet fresh aroma has a calming, grounding effect. Juniper berry oil goes well with French-inspired sauces and desserts and adds a completely unexpected touch to a wide range of dishes. Juniper berry also acts as a natural facial toner and reduces the appearance of blemishes.
Frankincense (Boswellia carterii, frereana, sacra, and papyrifera) - Base note
Frankincense is often referred to as the "king" of essential oils, as it is one of the most valuable and precious oils due to its rich aroma. Centuries ago, the ancient Egyptians used frankincense resin in a variety of ways, for example for perfumes and ointments. Its soothing and beautifying properties can rejuvenate the skin and reduce the appearance of blemishes when applied topically.
How to use
Mix 5 drops of each of these three essential oils and two teaspoons of jojoba oil in a dropper bottle. A few drops in your evening face routine is enough – it nourishes the skin and has a rejuvenating effect. The grounding scent also supports body and mind.
